Wallace J. Murray III

Wallace J. Murray, III, 73, a resident of Arlington, VT, passed away April 2, 2026 at his home. Wallace was born in Providence, Rhode Island on April 26, 1952 the son of the late Wallace J. Murray, Jr and Dorothy McLeod. He attended Providence schools earning his Master’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island. After serving his country as a member of the United States Navy, Wallace worked on Wall Street as an analyst at the New York Stock Exchange for many years. Wallace loved fly fishing on the Battenkill, he repaired guns for the State Police, was an avid Pink Floyd fan and cherished times spent with his grandchildren. Wallace is survived by his wife Carolyn (Marr) Murray of Arlington, children Rebecca Hobus (Erich) of Granville, NY, William Courtright of Virginia Beach, Albert Courtright of Queensbury, NY and Michele Roberts of Hoosick Falls, NY, his sister Laurey Alexander of Florida, grandchildren Rian, Abigale, Emma, J.J. and Ethan and his father-in-law William J. Marr. Visiting hours for Wallace will be held Friday April 10, 2026 from 4-7pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel, Historic Route 7A Arlington, VT.
