Sara Beth Ennis of Shaftsbury, Vermont passed away September 28th 2026 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with her loving wife, Crissy King by her side.

As Autumn came and the rain fell nature had paused to take another angel. It was there we had to say goodbye to such an amazing person. A single tear drop fell from Saras eye the moment we bid her farewell. We wish her love and peace. Such an extraordinary, brave, bright young lady died at the age of 44. Sara was so smart. So intelligent. She was such a compassionate wife. Devoted mother to her son Aiden Paul Ennis who brought her endless love and joy. Sara loved life. Loved the country, loved the water, traveling to Texas, North Carolina, etc., She was a fan of country music such as Concrete Angel by Martina McBride, Luke Combs: Beautiful Crazy, Fishin' in the Dark by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Tom Petty's: I Wont Back Down

Sara had many animals, she loved her dogs Scrappy, Snoopy, Maxwell, her cat Maggie Mae, and many more. Sara volunteered her time to helping animals and helping people. She had a heart of gold.

Sara was a long term Caregiver for her grandmother Anna Ennis who was diagnosed with Dementia. Sara herself was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma of the intrahepatic billary tract. Basically Liver and Bone Cancer that had metastasized.

Saras family farm where she grew up was in Sunderland. Sara spoke highly of her Grandfather Paul Ennis Sr to whom she helped a lot Sugaring in the woods. Sara loved making and eating her family's maple syrup to which was a business in which they had their own Sugar House. Sara had a profound life and passion for camping. She loved the country, loved adventure. Sara spent a lot of time out on the water of Lake Champlain and Lake Ontario. Her grandfather Paul Ennis Sr named a boat after her when she was born. FISHING SARA. Sara was so full of life. She had a heart of gold. She loved to shop, get her nails done, loved to be there to help people. She was so energetic.

Sara learned a lot of life skills at Camp E-Wen-Akee where she met many friends and it was a turning point in Saras life to which she praised often and learned many survival skills. Sara was a devoted mother and loving wife, amazing daughter. Crissy and Sara met in 6th grade at Shaftsbury Elementary. And reconnected later on in life. Got engaged and married May 27th 2026 when Sara developed cancer. Crissy became her Caregiver.

Saras Paternal Grandparents are Paul Ennis Sr and Anna Ennis on her father's side. And Roland and Madine Pero on her mother's side. Saras parents Paul Ennis Jr and Robin Bowen. Sara leaves behind her son Aiden Paul Ennis and her step siblings. Aunts, uncles and cousins. Sara's Uncle Steven and her Best friend, Crissys cousin, Aimee Pleasant to whom are deceased. To whom she spoke a lot of while passing. Many friends and acquaintances to whoms lives she touched and changed forever. Sara expelled many special moments in people's hearts.

Sara lived her life in the Green Mountains of Vermont. She was very enthusiastic loved recreating a home decor. She had a love and passion for cooking. Her endurance was unstoppable. Sara graduated Arlington Memorial High School in 2000. Sara was very independent and dedicated to her family. Sara suffered a long battle but she held significant courage. Sara embraced each day. Made everything she touched beautiful. Sara was a fighter to the very end. Her endless laughter we will carry in our hearts.

Saras blue eyes and smile illuminated. She was so business savy, motivational, well rounded, so well spoken. She had a bright future. She had such an intense energy. Behind Saras courage she faced many storms. But her wife was there to guide her home. Sara put many people before herself. As she suffered in her own grief. Sara will not be just a memory. She will be a treasure to all lives she touched. Sara never met a stranger who wasn't a life long friend.

Death leaves no heartache to heal, as Saras memories no one can steal. She was a beacon of light full of ambition. She had a drive to succeed. To be the leader she was. Sara had a drive to master the difficulties. She lived a rewarding life. Even through Saras had some despair. She faced addiction. As it became her relentless companion. It never measured her strength. Sara was not powerless. She had many attempts at failure but gradually kept hope. Sara turned to a higher power for guidance. Soon Saras struggles disappeared. I am proud to affirm Sara overcame her hurdles. All her worries dissolved. As she was driven by an endless thirst for life! Her unwavering spirit of perseverance had the ability to inspire others.

Saras legacy will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Shes had a courageous journey and tried to spread her generosity. Such a vibrant and gentle, radiated spirit yet so determined. Saras zest and compassion is not only a chapter but a milestone that captured her essence. We Love You!

I'd like to extend my sincere condolences to Saras doctors and staff that showed such compassion in her final days.

There will not be a service as Sara will be cremated and her wishes carried out.

In lieu of flowers or gifts I ask everyone to grieve their own way. Please pay your generosity forward to another stranger bringing light and love to another. Saras life is not measured by achievements or accomplishments. But to whom all lives she touched which reaches limits of unmeasurable strength. Let Sara inspire us all. As she will for always leave her impression on our hearts.
