Phyllis Clark, 99, a resident of Route 100, South Londonderry , passed away Monday August 12, 2019 at Springfield Vermont Health and Rehabilitation with family at her side. Phyllis was born in South Londonderry on November 28, 1919 the daughter of the late Curtis and Irene Prouty Shattuck and attended local schools. Phyllis first started working as a waitress for Stone Steps Restaurant and then for over 20 years at the Stratton Mountain Inn. She enjoyed reading and in her later years loved working with her companion Robert Twitchell making all kinds of maple products. Phyllis is survived by her son Vincent Clark and his wife Pamela of Londonderry, sisters Lucille Prouty of South Londonderry and Mildred Crowninshield of Brattleboro, her grandchildren Vaughn and Benjamin Clark and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Lloyd Clark whom she married in August 1941 and her son Vaughn Clark. Funeral services for Phyllis will be held Saturday August 17, 2019 at 2pm at the South Londonderry First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the family lot in Glebeview Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Phyllis's memory may be made to the South Londonderry First Baptist Church, c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 885 Manchester center, VT 05255.
