Patricia Chamberlin

Patricia Ann Chamberlin, age 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Patricia was born in Biloxi, MS, to Catherine and John Godek. She grew up in Bennington and was a proud graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. She went on to attend the University of Vermont. where she earned her degree in education and later received her master's degree in education from Saint Michael's College. Patricia devoted more than 30 years of her life to teaching, serving as a kindergarten and third-grade teacher at Catamount Elementary School in Bennington. She touched the lives of countless children and families through her kindness, patience, and passion for education. Above all else, Patricia-known lovingly as Pattie-cherished her family. She was the loving and devoted wife of Mark Chamberlin, with whom she shared 41 wonderful years of marriage, residing in Manchester, Vermont. She was a proud and caring mother to Kelly (Jeremy) Brekke and Jaime (Alden) Lane, and a loving stepmother to Chris Chamberlin (Tracey) and Laura (John) Marran. Pattie was a deeply devoted grandmother to Miles and Molly Brekke and Owen and Sawyer Lane, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her stepmother, Clare Godek; her brother, John Godek (Joanne); and several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Pattie found great happiness in spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, gardening alongside her husband and any family member she could persuade to help pull a few weeds. She treasured time with her book club friends and was an active and faithful member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and John Godek, and her sister, Gail Harwood. Patricia Ann Chamberlin will be remembered for her loving heart, dedication to education, and the deep care she showed to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on through her family, her students, and the many lives she touched. A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will take place on Saturday December 20, 2025 at 11am at Christ Our Savior Parish in Manchester Vermont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northshire Rescue Squad, Greater New England Chapter of the MS Society or the Manchester Community Food Cupboard c/o Brewster Shea Funeral Services PO Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255.
