Michael Peter Bacon

Michael Peter Bacon, formerly of Pownal, VT, passed away January 3, 2026 at the Centers of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, NY. Michael was born in Albany, NY on May 4, 1957 the son of the late Joseph and May (Rose) Bacon and graduated from Milne High School in Albany. Michael worked in maintenance for the Albany Public Library and the Albany City School District for many years. Michael liked animals. He was a huge Elvis Presley fan, had a wide collection of music, enjoyed watching the news and staying up with current events. Michael is survived by his sister-in-law Laura Hickey of Esat Greenbush, NY, his brothers Arnold (Teddy) Fredendal of Albany and Steven and Joe Bacon of Jay, NY, his sister Sharon Bacon of Schenectady, NY and his personal friend and caregiver for over 10 years Angel Derouchie. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Lockwood) Bacon who passed away April 25, 2022. Graveside funeral services will be held in the spring in Daby-Scottsville Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Kathleen.
