Mary Eileen Deyo

Mary Eileen Deyo, 75, a resident of East Dorset, VT, passed away May 14, 2021 surrounded in love by her immediate family. Mary was born in Bennington on June 3, 1945, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Margaret Mattison. Mary graduated from Burr & Burton Seminary. She was married at St Jerome's Catholic Church on May 22, 1965, to Michael L. Deyo, where she was devout parishioner the years it remained open. Mary was a dedicated mother and homemaker, who worked as a property caretaker once her children were school-aged. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, reading, cats, listening to music, and cherished time spent with her family. Mary is survived by her husband Michael L. Deyo of East Dorset, daughter Wendy Deyo of East Dorset, son Jeffrey Deyo of East Dorset, son and daughter-in-law Craig and Mary Deyo of Westfield, Massachusetts, sister Maureen Petrie of Dummerston, VT, and grandsons Zachary and Liam. Graveside funeral services for Mary will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11am at South Village Cemetery in East Dorset. There are no visiting hours.
