Mary Caldwell

Mary A. Caldwell, daughter of William and Lia Shattuck of Manchester, Vermont, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 19th, in Bennington.

Mary enjoyed reading, frequent visits to Northshire Bookstore, and cooking. She especially cherished her weekly lunch dates at Mulligan’s with her son, Chris. But most of all, Mary adored her beloved cat, Tigger.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Caldwell; grandchildren Robyn Caldwell Heidenreich(Karl), Nicole Caldwell and Savanna Caldwell; daughter-in-law Krissy Caldwell and her children, Phoenix and Ace; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garth Caldwell, and her son, Dale Caldwell.

There will be no formal funeral services. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date. Anyone interested in attending is asked to contact Chris for details.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Manchester Fire Department, Northshire Rescue Squad, or a local animal shelter.
