MARIANNE DUNNIGAN EADEVITO FURGALACK

November 19, 1943 — September 23, 2025

Marianne, 81 years young, went home to her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2025. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut to her loving parents John and Marion Dunnigan.

A Connecticut resident for most of her life, Marianne was a nurse in the New Haven, CT area for 20 years. As a nurse, she loved and advocated for her patients. She was also a member of the West Haven, CT Jaycee’s organization.

After moving to Vermont, she was a trustee for the Friends of the Wardsboro Vermont library, helping to raise money for the new library. She and her husband, Walter, owned Mountainside Photo in the village of Stratton Mountain Ski Resort. Subsequently, they opened Mountainside Gallery and Gifts in Dover, VT supporting local Vermont artisans. She knew her customers and their families well and often curated something personal just for them and their next visit into the store.

Marianne was an attendee of Christ Our Savior Catholic Church in Manchester Center, Vermont. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of Equinox Village in Manchester Center, VT where she enjoyed the company of many friends and neighbors.

Marianne loved people and had an infectious laugh. She loved children, nature, music, art, and animals. She was happiest surrounded by bodies of water and people. She loved her family and devoted husband, Walter, immensely.

Marianne leaves behind her beloved husband Walter Furgalack Sr. Children: Lisa Johnson (Sam), GA. Christopher Eadevito (Danielle), CT. Walter Furgalack Jr. (deceased) and Gary Furgalack (Monique), CT. Brothers: William Bishop, deceased (Agnes). James Bishop (Joanne, deceased). Grandchildren: Tyler Johnson (Quincy), GA. Chris Johnson, FL. Chris Eadevito (CJ) Jr. (fiancée Evangalese Calamita), CT. Nicholas Eadevito, CT. Hunter Furgalack, GA. Great granddaughters: Lowen Johnson and Sutton Johnson. Beloved cousin, Doreen Ely (and her family), CT. Aunt: Dorothy Dunnigan, FL (and her family). Nephews: Kevin Reynolds (Godson), FL. Brian Reynolds, CT. Goddaughter: Debra Simmons, MA.
