Malcolm (Larry) L. Couch

Malcolm (Larry) L. Couch, 71, a resident of Silver Street Apt. but lived most of his life in East Dorset, passed away August 15, 2021 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Larry was born in Bennington on November 8, 1949 the son of the late Duncan and Ruth Moffitt Couch and attended East Dorset, VT schools. Larry worked as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed riding and building motorcycles of any kind but most recently his Harley Davidson. He loved any kind of remote-control cars, planes or boats. He was known to hang glide in his younger years, listen to rock & roll music and enjoyed traveling to Daytona Beach FL for bike week, attending Americade and any other motorcycle events with friends and family. He enjoyed visiting his son on Cape Cod while spending time with his family and grandchildren. Larry is survived by his children James Couch and wife Brooke of Yarmouth Port, Cape Cod and Shannon Hart and her significant other Keith Gervais of Pownal and grandchildren Dana “Buddy” Hart, Evan Hart, Elizabeth Hart, Charlie Gervais and Jack Couch. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlene Robillard Couch whom he married in East Dorset on Aug 22, 1970. Funeral services for Larry will be held Thursday August 19, 2021 at 6pm at The Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church on Houghton Lane in Bennington. There will be time to visit after the services. Interment will be in Connecticut at St. Joseph Cemetery.
