Lucille Ann Kurasinski, 86 of Sandgate, VT, passed away at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington on December 4, 2025. Lucille was born in Hartford, CT, on December 13, 1938, the daughter of Daniel and Jenny (Tozzi) O’Flaherty. She was married to John Kurasinski who passed away in 2002.
Lucille worked for Mack Molding in Arlington, VT for 25 years, retiring shortly after her husbands passing. She was a member of the Sandgate Methodist Church. She really enjoyed going to Curves in Arlington and loved to share her stories about growing up in Hartford, walking with her father to get fresh roasted peanuts and reminiscing about the old days, when people dressed up just to go to the market.
Lucille was a caring and thoughtful woman, always putting the needs of others before her own. She adored her grandchildren who meant the world to her. She loved baking and her Christmas Pizzelles were legendary.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Leslie (Young) Perra, of Sunderland, VT, her grandchildren; Nicole (Rodney) Collard of Saco, ME and Brandon Perra of Sunderland, VT and a great granddaughter, Marina Rose Collard of Saco, ME. In addition to her husband John, she was predeceased by her siblings; Daniel O’ Flaherty Jr, Diane Marie Camilleri and Patricia Griffin. It saddens us that she never met Marina in person, but oh how she smiled every time she was shown a picture or video of her.
Friends may call at the Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home in Arlington, VT on Monday December 15 from 4:00-6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Lucille’s memory be made to the Arlington Rescue Squad or the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the office of the Hanson-Walbridge Shea Funeral Home PO Box 528 Arlington, VT 05250.
