Joseph G. Jaworski, Sr., a resident of Quarry Road in Danby, VT, passed away April 2, 2026 at the University of Vermont Medical Center surrounded by his family. Joe was born in Bennington on January 16, 1955 the son of the late Edward and Laura (Lake) Jaworski. He attended Currier Grade School and graduated from Burr & Burton Academy. Joe was a quarry miner and worked for in the Danby Quarry mine for 50 years, Joe loved hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors especially camping and hiking and also enjoyed throwing darts, playing softball and dancing. Joe is survived by his children Valerie Merrow and her life partner Doug of Danby, Joseph G. Jaworski, Jr. (Eva) of Manchester Center, Natasha Alexander and her life partner Eugene of West Pawlet and Tyler Alexander (Sam) of Middletown Springs, VT, his significant other Linda O’Brien of Bennington, siblings Alex Jaworski (Debbie) of Danby, Sharon Sendra (Harold) of Danby, Robert Jaworski of East Dorset, Lisa Jaworski, Eric Jaworski of Dorset and Diane Jaworski of Arlington, 9 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, and siblings Glenn and Theresa Jaworski. A celebration of life for Joe will be held April 19, 2026 at Noon at Brewster-Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT. A visiting hour at the funeral home will be held from 11-12 one hour prior to the service.
