Hannah Mary Gardner, 20, of Manchester, Vermont, formerly of Bennington, passed away on the night of June 8, 2025.
Born on August 2, 2004, Hannah lived her life with a rare and radiant selflessness. She had a heart that never hesitated to put others first—a quality that touched everyone who knew her. Whether through quiet gestures or deep conversations, Hannah made it her mission to lift those around her with kindness, humor, and unwavering support.
She grew up in Bennington and recently made her home in Manchester, where she was building a promising career in the dental field. In just over a year, she had already begun to rise, earning admiration for her dedication and professionalism, with a well-earned promotion on the horizon.
Hannah found joy in life’s simplest pleasures. She cherished cozy movie nights, especially those that brought back the magic of childhood. She loved playing Mario Kart on the Nintendo DS with her brother Tyler, and shared a rare and beautiful friendship with her mother, Jennifer. Her oldest brother, Jonathan, was a trusted guide and confidant, someone she always turned to for advice and reassurance. Her bond with her family was deep and enduring.
She is survived by her loving mother Jennifer O’Brien, her brothers Jonathan O’Brien, Tyler Gardner, and Dylan Gardner, all of whom carry her memory with profound love and pride. She was predeceased by her father, Steven Gardner (1969-2013).
Hannah’s light was gentle but strong. Though her time here was far too short, her warmth, spirit, and compassion leave a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
