It is with heavy hearts that the Fletcher family announces the passing of Grey Fletcher on February 16th from sudden illness. Grey was born on November 12th, 1948 in Johannesburg, South Africa to Grey Campbell Fletcher and Hilda Louise Thompson. Grey was an accomplished jeweler and diamantaire who specialized in creating bespoke fine jewels for his loyal customers. An entrepreneur, he founded and ran his own jewelry company based in the diamond district of Manhattan for many years before retiring to his beloved property in Sandgate, Vermont, in 2013. A great outdoorsman, his love of nature was deeply instilled in the hearts of his children, a legacy they honor. He was loved by everyone who crossed his path, admired for his quick wit and compassionate heart. He will be greatly missed by his wife Isobel Jean Fletcher, his daughters Jeanne (Ken) Reig, Heather (Brian) Perkins, Lauren (Jordan) Imhoff, his six beloved grandchildren, as well as his sister Lynn Kelly and brother Guy Fletcher. A celebration of life will take place at 10:30 am on Friday, February 25th at the First Congregational Church of Manchester, VT.
