Ernest Bolster

Ernest "Ike" Eugene Bolster Jr., 91, passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2025, in White Creek, NY. He was born on July 4th, 1934, in Dorset, VT., son to Ernest Eugene Sr. And Gertrude (Ennis). Ernest lived a long and fulfilling life marked by dedication to his work, love for the outdoors, and deep connections with family.

A proud Navyman , Ernest served his country with honor before embarking on a lifelong career as a skilled carpenter and contractor. His craftsmanship left a lasting mark on the communities he served, and his work was known for its integrity and precision.

Beyond his professional life, Ernest found great joy in the natural world and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who cherished time spent on his farm, deer hunting, fishing, and ice fishing during the colder months. For years he made seasonal hunting trips to Ohio with his friends, brought his grandchildren fishing, and hosted large summer Cookouts that were open to anyone who wanted to attend.

Those who knew Ernest will remember him as a beloved and generous man whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around him. Every month for the last 28 years previous to his passing, he donated to St. Judes Hospital as a Partner in Hope.

Ernest was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marion, and his sisters: Linda and Diane. He is survived by his children: son Jimmy, daughters Sharen, Debi, Traci, and Margaret. His siblings: Charlotte, Patricia, Helen, Martha and Henry. His many cousins including Audrey (along with her husband: Dale Robertson). His grandchildren: Justin, Marshall, Ashley, Jennifer, Paul, Michael, Morgan, Zara, and Kristin. His great grandchildren: Olivia, Jacob, Eric, Zeke, Locklyn, Eva, Hank, Ella, and Deáglan. And many many more beloved family members.

Per his request regular services will not be held. A celebration of life will take place at Jermaine Hall in White Creek, NY on Saturday December 20th at 1pm.
