David Allen Williams 87 a resident of Warm Brook Road passed away peacefully at the Vermont Veterans Home on Monday September 27, 2021 where he had resided the past few months. Born in Sharon, CT on August 30, 1934 , he was the son of Raymond N. and Myra A. (Peck) Williams. He grew up in New Milford, Ct where he graduated from New Milford High School. David was a U.S. Army veteran where he served in California gaining intelligence, he was discharged at the rank of Sargent. David married Letitia Dawson on September 30, 1956 ,they spent their earlier years in Connecticut and eventually relocated to Vermont settling in Arlington . Throughout his life, David worked in the trades industries, including at a Plymouth dealership where he purchased a 1969 Road Runner which he often took drag racing. He had also worked as a mechanical technician in the heating business, Mack Molding and for the last 20 years of his working career he ran his own home maintenance business in the Arlington area. David enjoyed his classic cars, a 1941 Ford and 1967 Barracuda, when his health began to digress he gave one to each of his sons Garrett and Mark to enjoy. He also liked the company of his friends and family. He leaves his wife of 65 years Letitia Williams, sons Garrett A. Williams of Sunderland and Mark C. Williams of Goose Creek, SC, sister Wanda Lou Montgomery of Carrolton, Texas, grandchildren Marrissa Williams and Trevor Williams. Private burial will take place in the family lot in Kent (CT) Congregational Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Second Chance Animal Center in care of the Arlington Chapel of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, P.O. Box 528, Arlington, VT 05250.
