David Lee Grusendorf

David Lee Grusendorf, 71, a resident of North State Road in Cheshire, Massachusetts, passed away October 14, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. David was born in North Hornell, NY on October 18, 1954 the son of the late Lyle Frederick and Eva E. (Elliott) Grusendorf and attended local schools. David worked as direct care staff for Human Services for many years. David was a United States Marine Corp veteran of the Viet Nam war, was a founding member of the Pownal Historical Society and served 2 years as Vice Chairman, He was very involved as a foster care parent, enjoyed photography, writing, gardening was a Neil Diamond and NASCAR fan. David is survived by his children, Stacy Marie Bolio, Renee Crystal Tessier, Eizabeth Ann Croft, Angela Lee Oldham and Kistina Marie Ellis, siblings John G. Grusendorf, Theresa Cavagnaro and Rebecca R. Grusendorf, 15 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Ann (LaRoche) Grusendorf who passed away July 13, 2001, daughter Tricia Gene Grusendorf and siblings Karl G. Grusendorf and Dawn Fressola. A celebration of life for David will be held Saturday October 24, 2026 at 10am at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal. There are no visiting hours.
