Connie (Fair) Messer, a lifelong resident of Bennington, VT, passed away on December 17th, 2025 peacefully at her home, following a long illness.

Connie was born on September 4th, 1957 in Bennington, daughter of the late Clifford Fair and Beatrice (Lariviere) Fair. Connie grew up in Bennington, and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union. She later graduated from Berkshire County Community College.

Connie formerly owned the Daybreak Cafe in Bennington, and also worked infamously at the Ramada Inn as the bar manager and also as the DJ, where she met her husband, Ed. Connie and Ed were married on April 27th 1990 in Bennington. Connie also worked throughout the years at the former Paradise Restaurant. Connie and Ed owned and operated Crae Printing & Mailing in downtown Bennington, which is still in business today.

Connie is survived by her husband, Ed and their three children, Joshua Longtin (Allyson), Hannah Messier (Cody), and Crae Messer, and her four beloved grandchildren, Grace Longtin, Owen Longtin, Brycen Dickie and Isla Messier. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Eddington (Steve), and brother, Tom Fair (Sonya). Connie is predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Beatrice Fair, and her sister Suzan Fair.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 22nd, 2025 at Shea Funeral Home from 2-4pm. If friends should desire, contributions in memory of Connie can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
