Barbara Alexandra Hacklin Johnston

Barbara passed away peacefully in her sleep on 2/25/2024.  Born 11/23/1928 in Bronx, NY,  she then spent her youth growing up in Ludlow, VT before moving to Manchester.   She is survived by her children, Donna, Paul (Barbra), and Marc (Kathy), 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Her family was her greatest joy, and she gave us all her unconditional love and always included anyone who would show up on her doorstep who might be in need of a hug, conversation, or a meal.

She made lifelong friendships that were still in place upon her passing.  It was quite the network they had, and they all watched over each other protectively.

We will deeply miss this strong, resilient woman and her smile and laugh, and who would give us a cuff up aside the head when we needed it.   She was and will continue to be loved forever more. The family will celebrate her life at a later date.
