Anna Marie Farkas, 72, a resident of Country Club Road in West Dover, passed away peacefully, Saturday February 13, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Anna was born in Queens, New York on December 25, 1937 the daughter of Alfonse and Victoria (Christman) Pfrommer and attended local schools. Anna taught school in New York City in her earlier years and upon moving to Vermont worked at The Austrian House in West Dover for many years. Anna enjoyed needle point and loved to go fishing. Anna is survived by her significant other Daniel Hall, Jr. of West Dover, Vermont, her sons Andrew Farkas of Bennington, Vermont and Robert Farkas of Wilmington, Vermont, her daughter Victoria Hooten of New York, her brothers Thomas Horton of New York who was like a son to Anna and Sonny Pfrommer of Greenville, New York, her sisters Trudy Bung of Florida and Margaret Girimonte of Dix Hills, Long Island, fifteen grandchildren seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth McDermott. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 18, 2010 at 1pm at Covey & Allen Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington, Vermont. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday February 18, 2010 from 11am-1pm, 2hours prior to the service.
