David Blay
David F. Blay, 56, a resident of Covered Bridge Road in Arlington, Vermont passed away Saturday February 13, 2010 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont. David was born in North Adams, Massachusetts on August 20, 1953. He was the son of Joseph Blay and Nancy Busby. David attended schools in Stamford, Vermont and St. Joseph’s School in North Adams. David worked as an auto body technician for KM Motors in North Adams, Manchester Wood in Granville, New York for fourteen years and then at Hand Motors in Manchester, Vermont as a detailer for five years. David liked to fish, work on cars, especially auto body and liked to go on drives.He cherished times spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. David was a United States Army Veteran of the Viet Nam Era and he was a member of the American Legion Post 69, Arlington, Vermont. David is survived by his wife the former Susan Gomeau of Arlington, his daughters Eileenann Burgess and her husband Paul of Arlington, and Elizabeth Blay and her significant other Ralph Billings of Bennington, his brother Joseph F. Blay of Springfield, Massachusetts, his sister Deborah Farnham-Bartell of Springfield, Massachusetts, his grandchildren Veronica, William, Andrew, David, Maria, Lucas and Ralph and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of the life of David F. Blay will be held Friday February 19, 2010 at 2pm at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home Arlington Chapel Historic Route 7A Arlington, Vermont.Rev. David Hickey will conduct the service. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be private.
