Thelma M. Dustin
Thelma M. Dustin, 81, a resident of Tunnel Street in Readsboro, passed away peacefully Early Thursday morning February 4, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Thelma was born in Jacksonville, Vermont on January 1, 1929 the daughter of Everett and Viola (Goddard) Williams and attended local schools. She worked for Kendall Mills in Colrain, Massachusetts for many years. Thelma enjoyed bowling, quilting, scrap booking, knitting, camping, especially spending time at Somerset State Forest Camp with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thelma was a member of the Green Mountain Squares, the Rebekah Lodge, the Mohawk C.B. Club and the Red Hat Ladies Society. Thelma is survived by her son, Gary Dustin of Groton, Vermont, her daughters Brenda Tirrell of Wilmington, Vermont, Linda Brown of Whitingham, Vermont and Wendy Kingsley of Greenfield, Massachusetts, her sister Florence Moore of Readsboro, Vermont , fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Dustin who died in 1981. A celebration of the life of Thelma M. Dustin will be held Sunday February 14, 2010 at 1pm at the Readsboro Baptist Church. Pastor John Brigham will conduct the service. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be held in the spring in the family lot in Jacksonville Cemetery.
