Patricia A. George, 58, a resident of Benmont Ave, passed away peacefully Tuesday January 26, 2010 at Crescent Manor Nursing Home in Bennington surrounded by her family. Patricia was born in Bennington on May 28, 1951 the daughter of Kenneth and Jeannette (Hurley) George. She was educated in Bennington schools and attended Mt. Greylock High School in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Patricia worked for Vishay-Tansitor as a shift foreman for eleven years until the time of her death. She was very dedicated and an exceptionally hard worker. Patricia enjoyed dancing and loved surrounding herself with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Patricia is survived by her son Steven Champagne and his wife Ruby of Bennington, her daughter Tammy Champagne of North Adams, Massachusetts, her brothers, John, David, Kenny and Michael George, all of Pownal, her sister Linda Johnson of Maine, her grandchildren Tyler, Elyssa, and Mackenzie Champagne and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Patricia will be held Monday evening February 1, 2010 at 6pm at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, Vermont. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday February 1, 2010 from 4-6pm, two hours prior to the service. Interment will be private.
