Irene Easterbrook,84, a resident of Main Street in Bennington, passed away peacefully, Monday January 25, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Irene was born in Hauto, Pennsylvania on April 15, 1925 the daughter of Ignatius and Ethel (Warchalk) Bincarousky and attended local schools. Irene worked at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY until her retirement and then went back to St. Charles and gave her time as a volunteer. She also worked as a dietician in the Long Island, NY Local Public School System. Irene enjoyed traveling and going to church and was a founding member of St. John the Theologian Russian Orthodox Church in Shirley, Long Island. Irene is survived by her sister Nancy Ruggeri of Hometown, Pennsylvania and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold A. Murphy to whom she married October 9, 1954. Mr. Murphy died in August, 1959. She was also preceded in death by her Siblings John, Alfred, Carl, William, Michael, Mary Rochaboski, Priscilla Haytko and Rose Bellucci.Funeral services for Irene will be held Friday morning January 29, 2010 at 10am at St. John The Theologian Russian Orthodox Church in Shirley, Long Island. The family will receive friends at the church Friday evening January 28, 2010 from 7-9pm. Burial will be held Saturday January 30, 2010 at 11:30am at St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania.
