 The
Arlington Chapel of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home was first established as
the Stevens Funeral Home. The original facility was located in a private home on
Battenkill Drive shortly after the purchase of the funeral home by Dean Hanson
an addition was added to the building to accommodate larger services as well as
separate the business from the home. Realizing the need for the residents of the
Arlington area for an updated facility, in 1995 the funeral home relocated from
Battenkill Drive to it’s present location on Route 7A. An existing ranch style
home with an attached garage was completely remodeled into a beautiful spacious
facility. The move resulted in a much larger and modern facility with additional
parking for attendees and is fully ADA compliant.
The Arlington Chapel has been owned and operated by Mark and Lisa Shea since
2004 and is operated in concert with the Bennington location.
